Meagan is a graduate from Durham College with a diploma in both Physiotherapy Assistant and Occupational Therapy Assistant (2016). She is currently enrolled in Health Science (Kinesiology) at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, in hopes of pursuing a career in Physiotherapy. Within Meagan’s schooling she has always maintained status on the Dean’s list, achieved multiple internship opportunities, and volunteered as a student trainer within differing varsity sports. Her experience allows her to be a contributing member of an interdisciplinary team in preparing and conducting exercise programs, applying modalities, and educating patient’s on personal health gains.
Meagan has always practiced competitive sports at elite levels, having the opportunity to play women’s varsity hockey at UOIT. Through injuries of her own, she realized the critical importance and value of health professionals. Meagan desires to become a change agent in individual’s road to recovery, maintenance of health, and holistic well-being, like others were to her.
